A rumor that users circulated online in April 2025 told of a Dr. Yumi Takahashi diabetes recipe. According to the claim, the supposed medical doctor offered a recipe to reverse Type 2 diabetes in a product named either GF Caps or something else.
However, claims of a Dr. Yumi Takahashi offering a diabetes recipe — or an endorsement of GF Caps supplements or any other blood sugar support products featuring names with the words “gluco,” “glyco” or “sugar” — were all scams. No such recipe existed. Scammers will often begin a long video presentation by making claims of a special recipe to cure a condition that uses pantry ingredients. However, the promise of a recipe exists as nothing more than a lie to get consumers to keep watching the video.
Searches of Bing, DuckDuckGo, Google and Yahoo produced no results for anyone named Dr. Yumi Takahashi working on a diabetes recipe, GF Caps or any other diabetes-related products. This scam simply involved flashy video presentations featuring deepfake visuals and artificial intelligence-generated audio for vocals, using the image and likeness of Tom Hanks, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Sylvester Stallone, as well as naming other people with no involvement, including the name Dr. Shinji Watanabe.
How the Dr. Yumi Takahashi diabetes scam spread in April 2025
For example, a TikTok video ad featured a mixture of genuine and fake elements. A man with a face and vocals both generated by artificial-intelligence (AI) tools said:
What if I told you that you could reverse Type 2 diabetes just by mixing apple cider vinegar with a simple Japanese ingredient? Yes, that’s right. A new solution is catching the attention of the scientific community: Asian metformin. It not only helps control blood sugar, but is already reversing Type 2 cases, even in people who had completely lost hope. Researchers claim it’s up to 50 times more effective than metformin and insulin combined. No fear. No needles. No restrictions. Wanna know how to prepare it at home using a $5 ingredient from Walmart? I recorded a video showing the exact step by step. You’ll discover a simple Japanese ingredient that can regulate your glucose and free you from frustrating restrictions, even if you’ve already tried everything. I’ll also reveal the real culprit behind your diabetes. Spoiler, it’s not your diet or your genes, and why insulin and metformin could actually be making things worse.
The TikTok ad led to a lengthy video presentation on the website freshstartlife.mom, claiming someone named Dr. Yumi Takahashi created the special diabetes recipe or other product, and naming it GF Caps.
I created a special video documenting the entire diabetes recipe scam:
If any other future video presentations also make claims of a Dr. Yumi Takahashi and a diabetes recipe, and that a bunch of celebrities endorsed an obscure and purported diabetes solution, don’t trust it.
If the scammers behind this product victimized you and you want your money back, first try to call your credit card company to see if they can help. Do not consume the product. Also, as always, if you have any health issues, make an appointment with a doctor — a medical professional — so that you can receive proper care.

now they are calling it GLYCO CLEAN

Yes, it is a total scam. If she is a real Japanese, then, she would be able to pronounce Japanese language properly. Also, on the screen there is a mis-spell as Garruca Furadamu. What is that? She pronounced it sounding like Japanese but it is not. I am Japanese, so I know it.
