In August 2024, I researched whether a supposed moneymaking opportunity known as the Profitable Messages Telegram app was a scam or legit. I quickly concluded this scheme was simply the latest iteration of a long-running and dangerous online scam. Several names for the Telegram scam included Profitable Messages, New Profession, Bot Profitable Messages and Digital Freedom. Don’t believe positive reviews published online claiming legitimacy for any purported moneymaking strategies involving a Profitable Messages Telegram app scam.
My name is Jordan Liles. This page, JordanLiles.com, is my personal website where I publish reporting in addition to my daily work as a Senior Reporter with Snopes.com. I research scams and have slowly but surely become knowledgeable of how many of the misleading or fraudulent online schemes operate.
The Profitable Messages Telegram app scam falsely claimed users could earn money by solving simple CAPTCHA security tests for companies. For example, the scam named Amazon, Apple, Google and other large companies.
My research into the Profitable Messages Telegram app scam began on Aug. 10, just after Facebook served me a video ad from the page for “Dra. Isabella Lima.” That ad displayed a link leading to a longer video hosted on the scam website new-ruffle.online. Websites visible in the Profitable Messages Telegram app scam — which was not legit — included biggest-news.online, profesiondigital.online, new-ruffle.online and hotmart.com. The longer video provided details about the supposed Telegram feature involving the CAPTCHA grading tests.
The Profitable Messages Telegram app scam promises ended on a Hotmart.com page offering a Digital Freedom product. The author’s name displayed as “I.A Money.” I strongly advise against making any purchases of products claiming to offer easy moneymaking methods.
In this story, I’ll present everything about this Profitable Messages Telegram app scam. Again, the scam might be named Profitable Messages, New Profession, Bot Profitable Messages or Digital Freedom. I’ll start with the Facebook video ad the platform displayed in my feed.
Profitable Messages Telegram App Scam Facebook Video Ad
The Facebook video ad post for the Profitable Messages Telegram app scam — ultimately named Digital Freedom on Hotmart.com — lasted 58 seconds. The ad showed a woman sitting in a car providing a fake testimonial. She claimed solving CAPTCHA security tests for Amazon, Apple and Google earned her hundreds of dollars per day.

As of Aug. 10, the post had received more than 8,700 likes, 800 comments and 1.8 million views.
Profitable Messages Scam Website
The link in the Facebook video ad for the Profitable Messages Telegram app scam directed me to biggest-news.online. Scammers designed that website to fool users into believing it was the official Telegram app or website.

That page then directed me to a different scam website presenting me with a longer video on new-ruffle.online.
The longer video made numerous false claims to try to convince potential victims that the scam was legitimate. It was not.
The Longer Video Begins
I transcribed much of the video for the Profitable Messages Telegram app scam. The video on new-ruffle.online featured a narrator’s voice generated by artificial intelligence (AI). Further, the scammers appeared to pay people to offer fake testimonials of how they achieved “financial freedom” through the scheme. The narrator began:
You know that feeling of waking up every morning and going to the same job? So, I’m not going to promise you an island paradise getaway or that you’ll be a millionaire after watching this video, but I can offer you something as satisfying as discovering a new profession that will increase your income by up to 12 times more while you’re still in bed.
With this, you can have a better life, live in a better house, change your car every year, and fill yourself with luxuries with your bank account that does not stop growing.
I imagine you’re curious how I am receiving several automatic amounts every day. Just sending a few messages, isn’t it?
But know that this is quite easy. Just open Telegram, receive some security codes, and send a simple message with the correct answer to these codes, so you can receive payments of $3,000, $5,000 and even $7,000 every month, just by repeating this process.
The video revealed numerous times the Profitable Messages Telegram app was not legit by making the scam sound too simple.

One of the Main Lies in the Longer Video
In the course of transcribing the longer video, I laughed at one particular lie. The AI narrator’s voice claimed, “I’m not here to ask for anything in return.” In other words, the scam video claimed the supposed moneymaking feature in the Profitable Messages Telegram app known as Digital Freedom was free. Again, this Digital Freedom product does cost money on the final page of the scam on Hotmart.com.
Have you ever found yourself wondering how some people manage to accumulate wealth on the internet from one hour to the next, showing off luxuries like cars, motorcycles [and] houses, while you work all day and kill yourself to earn just a few bucks? The answer may seem like a mystery but I’m here to unravel it for you.
Before you suspect this is another one of those videos that ends with an offer to sell, relax, because I’m not here to ask for anything in return. I simply want to share all the details of this new profession that has been changing the lives of many people.
So forget the dodgy schemes, the idea of making easy money at gambling, or the traditional jobs that leave you stuck in a tedious routine with a boring boss.
No, this is not for you, and you won’t have a lot of money following these steps. What I’m about to share is a legitimate opportunity to change your life. So, stay with me that within the next 90 seconds, I’ll show you how you can open doors to a new reality. And believe me, I’m willing to pay $240 right now for you to join me on this journey.
In the coming days, you can earn $400, $600, and even $800 by answering security messages on Telegram. Yes, you heard right. You can do this in your free time, either on the couch at home or anywhere with internet access. Even in his spare time at work, he can make extra income. So if you have a mobile phone and internet access, you are one step away from changing your financial life. Check it out.
Again, if a moneymaking gig sounds too simple, it’s likely a scam.

The Scam Preys on People with Bad Jobs
In the next part of the Profitable Messages Telegram app scam video on new-ruffle.online, the AI-voiced narrator preyed on people who work jobs with “low wages.” The narrator also mentioned jobs with “unbearable” bosses.
I understand this may sound too incredible to be true, right? To be honest, until recently, I also never imagined that my life could change so drastically.
You see, there is a group of people who are getting rich and do nothing but send security messages through Telegram, the second most downloaded application in the world. And the most surprising thing? Their only concern is deciding which color of iPhone to choose, what their next car will be and still have doubts in choosing the place of their next trip.
But if you still prefer the routine of a job with low wages and an unbearable boss, then this video is definitely not for you. You can shut up and go. I am looking for people who want a real life change, people who dream of having a big house, free time to enjoy life, explore different places around the world and still earn a lot of money.
I want people who yearn for the freedom to realize all their dreams without limitations, to be able to pay off your debts, buy that car you always wanted and give a better condition to your family. And believe it or not, all of this is possible through this app.
The promise of giving a “better condition to your family” seemed like a hint of a bad translation from another language to English. In other words, that strange choice of words — as well as other odd choices for wording — showed this scam possibly originated from someone residing outside the U.S.

Former Meta COO Sheryl Sandberg Shown in Video
At one point in the Profitable Messages Telegram app scam video on new-ruffle.online, the clip displayed a photo of former Meta COO Sheryl Sandberg and claimed her name was “Elizabeth Duroff.”
![Online users looked for reviews and further information to find out if the Profitable Messages Telegram app was a scam or legit.](https://jordanliles.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/elizabeth-durov-scam-1024x505.jpg)
That part of the video continued as follows:
Hello, my name is Elizabeth Duroff. For many years, I worked as a programmer and software developer for large companies such as Google, Facebook, Netflix and several other important platforms that you probably use, like Telegram.
Within these applications, there is an infinite potential for earnings that you can achieve simply by helping to answer security codes for these companies. My expertise has always been in online security systems, and I have received several awards in my field. Several newspapers around the world have talked about my new profitable messaging tool. Now, I will show you in practice how it works.
Inside the platform, I click on start and begin receiving security codes from various companies. By simply answering them, I earn a commission in dollars. I can do this as many times as I want, and when I click withdraw, I get my money in a few seconds.
Here is the proof of payment: $985 was sent to my account. Thanks to this new tool, you or any ordinary person can earn more than $190 a day just by using this new Telegram feature.
You’ve probably seen several boxes or letters like these around, right? What you didn’t know is that large companies spend millions of dollars a year to keep their websites safe, and it’s all done through these security forms.
This avoids what happened to Nike, which during the launch of its product, had its website down, accumulating a loss of $30 million after one of these security forms failed, causing the site to go down. It’s no surprise that companies invest millions of dollars to avoid these problems.
I remember to this day the meeting I had with the executives of these companies, where they personally asked me to develop a tool that would solve this problem. In return, they would pay a substantial amount as an incentive for people to collaborate by answering security messages.
Needless to say, I found no information in my research about Nike losing $30 million because of a CAPTCHA security code issue.
Hotmart.com Product-Purchase Page
After the Facebook video ad, the other websites and the longer video, the Profitable Messages Telegram app scam ended on Hotmart.com. The page asked users for their personal information and credit card number. Also, again, the page called the product Digital Freedom and listed an author named “I.A Money.”

Same here :/
Thank you for posting this information about it being a scam
before I sign up or buy anything like this I always check for reviews and weather it is a scam or not.
I previously got scammed twice for all the money I had plus now I’m in debt for $25,000 and am trying to get a loan
its so sad, scammers are really good at their job of scamming people
I always check before putting any info because we always hope that it’s real and not a scam. Many years ago I fell for an MLM and they stole $500 from me without my permission because I stupidly gave them the information to my bank account. I told the bank what happened, got a new bank account, and my money was refunded. They had a video that was too good to be true, so, please always check to see if it’s a scam or not, more than likely it is. Thank you for putting it out there that this is a scam.
Thanks Jordan for this informative article. Glad that I came across it while searching online if Profitabl Messages was legit or not.
Thanks a lot. This helps. Can you check group impulse based in Brazil if it’s fake PLEASE
